In 2023, content creator and community leader Claire Eadie (of @colourwithclaire) posted a petition to bring the much-beloved but impossible to find Sagor och Sägner coloring book back to print. The petition quickly garnered over 1,000 signatures from colorists around the world and the attention of Better Day Books, who, with Claire’s help, was able to connect with the author and put a plan together quickly to bring the coveted book back to print in a new edition! It is with great joy that we release this collection of enchanting patterns by Emelie Lidehäll Öberg back into the world, where we know it will bring a spark of magic, imagination, and beauty to all who color within its pages.

Emelie Lidehäll Öberg is a highly sought-after professional artist, illustrator, and author from Sweden. She has previously published two Swedish adult coloring books, Sagolikt (Fairy Tales) and Sagor och Sägner (Fairy Tales and Folklore). With a bachelor’s degree in communication and public relations, she works as head of communications for a cultural arts center, and she dedicates her spare time to her art as well as to her family. Emelie, who lives in the north of Sweden with her husband and two daughters, often takes inspiration from old folktales and her own life in her illustrations. This book is based on the Scandinavian folktales that my grandmother told to me when I was a young girl growing up in Sweden. They have captivated my imagination for my whole life and I hope you will enjoy coloring them as much as I have enjoyed drawing them.
